The short version
If you click a link on this site and buy something, we usually earn a percentage of the sale. You pay the same price you would have paid otherwise. We do not get paid for the review, only for the sale, and only if you decide to buy.
Who we have relationships with
We participate in affiliate programmes operated by Fleshlight and a number of other adult retailers and manufacturers. Outbound commercial links on this site are marked with rel="sponsored nofollow" in the page source, which is both a search-engine requirement and a straightforward way for you to verify what is commercial and what is not.
What commission does not buy
Commission rates vary between retailers. It would be easy, and profitable, to steer readers toward whichever programme pays best. We do not, and the site is structured to make it hard to do quietly:
- Scores are produced from a published, weighted rubric before any commercial consideration enters the picture
- Every review carries reasons not to buy, and we treat a review with no downside as a failed review
- We recommend against products in categories where we hold affiliate relationships, which you can verify by reading the reviews
Free samples
Brands occasionally send products for review. When that has happened, the review says so in the testing panel. Receiving a sample does not entitle a brand to a favourable review, advance sight of the copy, or any changes after publication. We have published negative reviews of products that were sent to us free, and we will continue to.
Why we tell you this
Partly because the FTC requires it. Mostly because you cannot properly assess a recommendation without knowing who is paying for it, and a review site that hides its funding model is telling you something about how much it trusts its own work.
